About

FoodnotED aims to provide information on disordered eating and encourage open discussion through the sharing of stories, perspectives and experiences from real people.

Disordered eating practices are harmful eating behaviours and food attitudes that can develop into debilitating eating disorders. Such practices may be motivated by social pressures, parental influence or exposure to the mass media.

Not Just Surface Damage is a compilation of stories that discuss these issues. Written by eating disorder survivors and supporters, and beautifully designed by Pei Ying, Not Just Surface Damage is a book that we hope will get people thinking about food and our attitudes towards it.

About the Campaign

Food Is Not the Enemy is an eating disorder awareness and support campaign coordinated by Project WiTHIN and Food for All that aims to raise awareness amongst eating disorder survivors, supporters and members of the public of the physical and psychological effects of disordered eating and create platforms for eating disorder survivors and supporters to engage in open and constructive dialogue and seek support for recovery. It is based in Singapore.
